Kate felt tired for the past week pretty much all she did was sleep but she was still always tired, maybe it was the baby that caused that. Kate knew she couldn’t sleep, she looked at the clock across the room 1 hour until she had to be at the doctor’s office because he wanted her in immediately after she found out about being pregnant she called and made an appointment. No I have to be at the doctors in an hour and if I sit down I’m liable to go to sleep. Kate said her voice was still unsure.
- Later that day-
After Kate was done and back home she told Kate what the doctor had said He is pretty sure that I am around two months along and that every thing is perfectly fine with the baby …
Kate laid down of her bed and before she knew it she was sleeping… she pretty much slept the rest of the day.
- 3 days later -
After the doctor’s appointment three days earlier, Kate though extremely hard about weather or not she wanted to keep the baby… Hannibal had seemed happy about it once the shock had worn off but he did not press for an answer from her. The doctor said everything was perfectly okay and that the morning sickness should fade a lot and stop completely, soon and that her being always tired was okay too that some mothers had that affect on them at some point during their pregnancy.
When Hannibal had gotten off work that day and came over Kate finally answered him. Hannibal… I’ve though about this for what seems like forever, to the point where my head hurts, and I think I might keep the baby… Kate seemed to be very sure of this but inside the unsureness still lingered a very little bit. Then she embraced Hannibal in a soft hug…
-5 months along –
You could tell now that Kate was pregnant she looked as if she had stuck balled up beach towel in her belly, and her breast had gotten a bit bigger. She was hardly tired now and her nineteenth birthday was in three and a half weeks. Every now and then she would feel the baby kick but he only kicked when Hannibal happened to be away. The morning sickness stopped around two weeks after Kate first found out when she was only two months along.
Halloween was kind of crappy because Kate was forced to be on bed rest due to stomach flu that she had cot that could have affected the baby but thank god it did not.
November was much better Kate was healthy and Thanksgiving was the best holiday Kate had had since getting pregnant. Some of her mother’s old friends came over and a few of her Father’s old crew members came to eat with the family. Right after the Thanksgiving holiday Kate found out that the baby was a strong healthy boy. She had to go and buy a whole new wardrobe around the middle of the thanksgiving holiday because her shirts you just did not wear while you were expecting and her jeans didn’t fit to well any more, which was awesome because all the stores had a Sale on some of the most priciest things which would not have been a problem for Kate either way. So Annie and Kate packed up her smaller clothes after buying her new ones and stored them away until after the baby was born.
Kate’s big thing now was that she was always starving for butterscotch ice-cream, but before she didn’t like it to much and v.e.r.y. rarely even though about eating it. Another thing was that it was the middle of December and she was always hot! The house was all covered with Christmas stuff and a huge sliver pine evergreen stood about ten feet high inside the living room. Kate had to have people come in with the tree and set it up because there was no way any one in the house would have been able to do it. Annie, Kate, Hannibal and two new maids all put the gold and white decorations on the tree. After a week of the tree being there, there were all kinds of presents of all shapes and sizes under the tree; every one had about two or three gifts waiting for them but most of the maids and butlers had gotten gifts for the baby. Even Hannibal had gifts waiting for him…

The time since she had first found out that she was pregnant had progressed nicely. The baby grew at a healthy rate, and Kate's morning sickness had stopped not too much longer since she'd found out she was pregnant. that was great because he hated to see her sick, it was always horrible. When Hannibal got her answer he was ecstatic, but still just as nervous as he was to begin with on the inside. He d never thought of having a child, especially being so young, but there would be help and both of them would be taking care of it. He wasn't going to leave her with it and she wasn't going to leave him. They'd work together and everything would be fine. The baby would know it's parents and be loved more then anything else in the world.
Thanksgiving was fun, Hannibal had got to help out with a lot of the cooking and he got to meet some of Kate's family. It was a happy holiday and everything went along smoothly for she hardly was sick during this month and they found the sex of the baby to be a boy. What great news! He would have loved a boy just as much, but now they didn't have to shop for pink! Woo! Hannibal wasn't a fan of pink as he always dressed in black. Hannibal loved Kate just as much as always, but a very careful side showed it him everytime he hugged her, as if he squeezed too hard he might hurt the baby. It was weird now that she was so big, but he managed. Hannibal gave lots of hugs and wouldn't change. Hugs were great.
Hannibal didn't understand her feelings for the strange icecream or how she could be so hot when it was snowing outside! She was always complaining about the ehat and always saying that she wanted more icecream... What was that? He was freezing his ass off and she's asking for icecream. the thought made him laugh, but he went along with it. Hannibal had a huge love for the christmas holiday, and it was preobably his favorite one of the year besides halloween. He loved the decorations and he loved to go shopping. He loved getting the tree, especially since he'd never had one any bigger then himself. The ten foot tree amazed Hannibal and he was lit up with joy when he saw it. One thing he was especially glad about was that there wa no fake one. He knew lots of people that put up fake oens now and it just took out all the spirit. Why, he remembered when he and his grandfather used to hike through the well-paced December snow until they found a tree from their land that was just right. Never as tall, but just right.
Presents had been steadily piling up around the tree and even Hannibal had done his fair share of shopping. He'd gotten a few things for Kate that he knew she had been wanting, and he hoped she would enjoy, and a few things for everyone around the house. He'd been busily working for the past few weeks and now finally had a day off. He propped up the kick stand on his bike and made his way over to the thouse and knocked on the front door.

Ruben answered the door and let Hannibal through She is in her room, Sir. Kate had moved rooms for now to a much bigger room on the second floor. The room was a bit bigger than Kate’s old room and it had a connecting room that was about half the size of the bed room, that connecting room had been set up for the baby, a light tan wooden crib sat close to the wall next to the doorway, with a changing table and the baby’s dressers lined nicely along the opposite side of the room each matching the others. A light tan wooden rocking chair sat close to the window. The room had been painted very light sky blue and the all of the baby’s stuff was in one of four colors. Annie had then a great help putting everything in order about getting everything Kate wanted for the baby. Annie had quickly gone from being Head maid to a midwife. Kate was looking out the window looking at the snow had that fallen a couple of days ago, with her hands placed on her the top of her belly. The baby had kicked again a couple of minutes ago. Kate knew Hannibal was a little disappointed because the baby only kicked when he wasn’t around. From Kate’s new window she overlooked just about everything in the back land. Kate was staring at the old barn that once housed eight beautiful horses that Kate owned and use to ride but now that Kate was going to have a baby… being around huge horses that could kill her with little effort was just too dangerous, so every horse was sold and the barn closed up. She doubted that there would ever be another horse in the barn again. Kate heard the foot steps as Hannibal walked up the stairs, and she waited for him to come into the room. The door was wide open because there was no need for it to be closed. You know you don’t have to knock every time you come here. Kate said with a hint of laugher in her voice as he walked into the room. She gave Hannibal a small smile. Christmas was eight days away and every one seemed like they couldn’t wait. Kate hadn’t slept all night and wasn’t able to sleep now although she was a bit tired, it was just a bit of insomnia. She was going through another stage of do nothing but sleep or long sleepless days. I’ve been thinking of a name all night… what do you think of Tristian William with both mine and your last name at the end? Kate asked still looking out the window. As Hannibal answered her question, Kate felt the baby kick once she grabbed Hannibal’s hand placing it in the middle on the right side of her belly… the baby kicked again softly. She was sure that Hannibal had felt it, after that there was nothing else from the baby as if he knew his father was there.

"Yeah, I know. Just a force of habit really." he spoke in easy to hear tones with an innocent smile spreading across his pale features. Hannibal noted the tiredness that streaked her features as she looked back to him with a small smile shaping her gorgeous face. He walked closer to her, and stood beside her growing figure. He listened as she spoke, and he let the name roll of his tongue. "Tristian William Casry Payne... Or Payne Casry... Sounds good together." he said with a small smile, not knowing which sounded better, but her last name would probably be first. His thoughts were interrupted as she grabbed his hand quickly and placed it on her stomach.
A smile danced across his pale features as he could feel their son kick. His gentle fingers stroked the area gently, before looking to Kate. "That's amazing." he said with a loving smile as he nuzzled her neck and kissed her jaw softly. His strong but gentle arms wrapped around her figure with a loving hold on her. "What are you looking at? The barn?" he asked with a wondering tone as he let his head rest on her shoulder as he stood behind her, his taller body towering a bit over hers, but he kept himself close. His arms stayed around her figure as he waited to hear and answer, guessing that was right unless she was just simply looking out at the whole scene that was viewable through the clear glass window.

Kate smiled as he said that that was amazing… then when he wrapped his arms around her resting his on her shoulder and asked what she was looking at… Yeah… I miss the horses… Kate said leaning her head to the side a little.
--
Christmas was awesome and so was Kate’s birthday. With each week Kate’s belly had gotten bigger through her whole sixth month. She got huge and the baby had gotten more active weather or not Hannibal was there. Also Kate’s ice-cream thing stopped and so did her sleepless nights.
February was Kate’s seventh month and it seemed to go a little slow. But as soon as Valentines Day came everything seemed to speed up. Kate was still getting bigger with every week. She was so ready to have the baby but there were still two months to go before she could even think about having the baby.
March rolled into the scene along with Kate’s eighth month. The baby kicked Kate so much now that she started getting bruises in a few places one looked like a foot print and the others were just small darkened spots. The baby would twist and turn and do flips and summer salts all the time, some times making Kate feel like she was going to get sick… This little guy was bound to do what ever he wanted when he wanted. Soon St. Patrick’s Day was here and in a blink of an eye it had passed Kate stayed in bed most of that day.
Before Kate knew it she was the size of a cow. Her ankles hurt and her feet swelled up.
It was the second day of April and Kate was due any time now. Annie stayed close to Kate’s side. Her breasts were sore from being filled with milk and legs were tried of carrying the baby’s weight. Kate stayed in bed most of that day too. It was now the third and Kate was moody! She mainly stayed in her room and only came out to have something brought to her.
Kate could not sleep at all that night. Around six in the morning Kate got up out of bed … suddenly Kate’s legs felt as if water had been thrown on them and a rush of pain followed it. Kate held her belly and yelled for Annie… her water had just broken. Hannibal wasn’t there to help her down the stairs so as Annie got the driver; Tony, one of the pool cleaners, slowly and carefully carried her down the stairs and out to the car.
- 35 minutes later –
Just pulling up to the hospital Kate’s contractions were about one to two minutes apart… there was no time to do an epidural. The doctors rushed her into delivery… Every one else was forced to stay out in the waiting room. As they waited Annie tried calling Hannibal to let him know that Kate went into labor.
- 30 minutes later –
A doctor came out and told every one the good news Kate delivered a nice healthy boy. He is 21 inches long and weights 7 pounds 4 ounces. He scored a nine on the rating and is doing perfectly fine… Kate can be seen but only the father of the baby can go in right now if he is here. The doctor said. Then he went into another room…
The nurse walked in carrying a baby wrapped in a blue blanket. She had a smile on her face as she handed Kate the baby. He wasn’t crying or anything just looking around as little coos came from his mouth. Kate already knew he had a good pair of lungs on him because earlier he was far from shy about using them. Kate was tired and a little dazed from the drugs they gave her to stop the pain but happy none the less. She smiled down at the baby being sure the support his delicate head and neck.

When Hannibal got the call about Kate he nearly dropped everything he was doing, including the phone. He pulled Rylie into the kitchen and explained the situation. The whole kitchen was laughing and cheering for Hannibal as he disappeared out the back door, and away from work to get to the hospital. Everyone covered for him buy working even harder in the kitchen. None of them wanted Hannibal to get in trouble for his split second leave. They all got silent as the boss came in and threatened to fire Hannibal unless someone spoke up. They all came forward with confessions, but the man was over joyed to hear the news of the proud father. He didn't mind Hannibal's leave and scolded them for trying to hide it. Everyone laughed and went back to work, the worry being lifted off their shoulders.
Hannibal arrived in the waiting room, a little bit before the doctor spoke up and he was ecstatic to hear the news. He gave out hugs to those that hugged him and didn't to those that only smiled and watched him walk back down the halls. He watched a nurse disappear into the room where Kate was, and she held a blue bundle in her arms. A grin spread across his features as he walked down the hall and slipped into the room. He could hear the soft cooing coming from Tristian's vocals as he walked closer. "Hey. The both of you are gorgeous, and look a bit tired." he said with a very soft tone as he stood beside the bed, a gentle hand stroking her face as he looked at their boy. He was sorry that he couldn't have been there to help everything along, but it had taken forever to get here from work. He'd had to leave in a split second and hoped the guy didn't get in trouble.
He looked at the boy that was held in Kate's gentle hands. He was definitely a cutie, and captured the looks of both of them perfectly. Hannibal was just stunned as he looked at the two of them. He wished he could have been here, but was just amazed by the fact that they had a kid. The nervousness rose in his stomach and he felt overjoyed. He couldn't believe it was all real.

Kate smiled some more as she seen Hannibal walk into the room. well giving birth without an epidural will do that to you… Kate said as Hannibal said she looked tired… hell even giving birth with an epidural will tire you out. Kate looked up as Hannibal looked down at her and the baby. Do you want to hold him? Kate asked The nurse is going to come back in about ten minutes after he is fed. Kate handed Tristian to Hannibal softly placing him is his father’s arms. Got to learn how to hold him some time. Kate smiled, then her thoughts turned to feeding Tristian.

"Haha, I wouldn't know... and I am kind of glad. I heard the stories of my birth and my mother made it sound horrible." he said with a soft laugh. He'd been told of the pain he caused her a thousand times. He'd had a big head when he was little and she made sure he knew that. Finally though, he was proportional. Nothing was too big or too small. He listened, and no words came from him as he was asked if he wanted to hold Tristian. She handed the small boy over and Hannibal was quiet as he gazed upon the boy.
"He's so small..." Hannibal mused quietly. He made sure to be very careful and hold him close while supporting his head and neck. He'd seen how Kate was holding him and mocked her actions, but being a thousand time more careful. He didn't even move as he held little Tristian in his strong arms. Very gentle fingers stroked the soft skin of his arm and looked at the boy's face. Hannibal's lips were stretched out with a huge smile on his face. He usually didn't smile enough to show his teeth, but he was grinning ear to ear this time. "I heard that he was a nine in the ratings... I would definitly say he's a ten." Hannibal's deep toned voice sounded once more, but this time the words were directed toward Kate, and a soft laugh escaped his vocals.

He would not seem so small if you were the one who had to push him out… Kate joked. Yeah a ten in lung power… I’ve never heard a baby scream as loud as he did. Kate laughed. She watched Hannibal hold their son, being very if not overly carefully. After a couple of minutes of Hannibal holding him, Tristian started crying loudly… He was hungry and wanted food now… He’s hungry… Kate said taking him back from Hannibal just then the nurse came back into the room and said I’m sorry Sir but I’m going Have to ask you to step out of the room for about five minutes. Once Hannibal was out of the room and the door shut. The Nurse showed Kate how to breast feed and once Tristian figured out that he was going to be fed he stopped crying and suckled on Kate. The nurse put a blanket over Kate’s shoulder covering her viewed breast and the baby’s head.

Hannibal laughed as she joked. That was probably true. He smiled slightly as she said that he had a ten in lung power for she'd never heard any baby scream as loud as him. "Well, I don't know if he got it from you or me, but I know I can be pretty loud." he said with a laugh. He soon found out how loud Tristian was. For being so small he could really pack a punch for your ear drums. He understood what Kate meant when she said loud. He handed him back to Kate and nodded as the nurse asked him to step out. He walked into the hallway and closed the door behind him as he leaned against the wall. His eyes looked around as he heard another baby screaming down the hall. It didn't sound near as loud as Tristian but perhaps that was because he wasn't in the same room with it. He pulled out his cell phone and sent a few texts out to his friends as he saw that he'd received a few asking how everything was. Texting usually made the time pass by quickly.

Tristian suckled forever the nurse said after a minute or two she showed Kate how to unlatch Tristian’s grip and watch to the other breast. After the nurse was sure that Kate knew who to do everything and was okay by herself she left the room after saying she’d be back in about ten more minutes. On her way back out the nurse allowed Hannibal to go back in to the room.
Kate still had the blanket over her shoulder covering Tristian while he fed. At first it hurt for Kate but after a few seconds the pain stopped. Kate looked up as Hannibal walked back in to the room.

Hannibal stayed outside, his phone vibrating in his hand almost constantly because he was texting four of his friends. They all wanted to know the details and he told each of them he had to go when the nurse said he could come back in the room. He nodded and forced his phone down into the pocket of his jeans as he turned and slid in through the opening in the door. He closed it gently behind him and smiled as he saw Kate looking over to him. "Hey, I'm back." he said with a small smile and a soft laugh as he walked over to the bed where Kate held Tristian. "It seems like just a short time ago I had come to the house thinking someone had died... but you had just taken the pregnancy tests... the time went by quickly." he said softly.

Yeah.. it did… Kate said looking under the blanket that covered their feeding son to check on him. Kate waited a minute or so to look back up and say The nurse said that some time around six we can go home since everything went good.
Kate looked back down and unlatched Tristian’s grip on her breast covering herself back up then she held him up leaning his small body against her shoulder holding him in a matter to support his head and neck as patting his back softly slowly working the air bubbles out of his stomach. Kate looked up and smiled at Hannibal.

"Oh that's good to hear. I dislike this place." he said with a soft laugh. He had never liked hospitals for he's been here way too many times in his life. The people that work here are overpaid and lazy, and this place harbors sick people so they can die in agony. It gave him the creeps when he was here. He watched the two of them with a smile as she leaned their son over her shoulder and gently worked the air bubbles out of him. The two of them were so beautiful.
-geez that sucked. gotta go. sorry-

-don't worry about it I made up word lost-
About five minutes later the nurse came back in and took Tristian back into the nursery to get him ready to be sent home in about four hours. No one else besides Hannibal was allowed in the room, so everyone left besides Annie who waited the whole time out in the waiting room.
-3 hours and 47 minutes later-
The nurse wheeled Kate out as she held Tristian softly in her arms Annie was waiting in the limo ready to put him in the dark blue car seat. It was kind of pain full for Kate to get up out of the wheel chair and into the car, but she managed it pretty well.
-30 minutes later-
On the way home Tristian did not like the car ride to much and cried most of the way. Kate and Annie both tried every thing they could to clam him down but only when he was out of the car and out of the car seat did he stop crying.
Kate had needed help balancing herself on the way up the stairs due to the drugs still affecting her a little bit.
Once in her room and in bed Kate fed Tristian again and then watched him look around the room. Unlike most newborn babies, Tristian did not have dark colored eyes… His eyes were an extremely light sky blue, but the doctors said that he responded very well to the sight test they had given them before he left so they had told Kate to bring him in every week so they could keep an eye on it. Kate was tired but she did not want to let Tristian go although she knew very well that he would be very safe with Annie. After a good 20 minutes of talking Kate finally let Annie take Tristian into his room with the reason that if Kate did not get some sleep she would only delay healing and delay taking a more active part in carrying for Tristian. Kate laid down and closed her eyes… after a good ten minutes Kate had fallen asleep.
-one month later-
Tristian was now able to hold his head up and roll a little bit but a little bit was enough to land him on the floor and screaming his head off. Kate was still a bit off when it came to knowing what he wanted when Tristian cried but Annie helped Kate out a lot. Hannibal had been over at the house every day to see Kate and Tristian. And each day Tristian in some way or another began to look more like Hannibal. Expect for his eyes unlike most babies with dark brown eyes he did not have either Kate’s light brown eyes or Hannibal’s dark and at time black brown eyes; Tristian had a very rare color of blue eyes. They were pretty much white eyes with a blue tint and a blue/black ring around the outer part of the eyes where the color ended.
About a week ago Kate laid an offer out for Hannibal. Instead of driving to his work for his house then to the Mansion after work to see Kate and their son every day Hannibal could just move into the mansion and live there with reasons of not only would he see Kate and Tristian more but he would also be able to take a more active role around Tristian seeming that Tristian now preferred Hannibal over anyone else most of the time. But either way if Hannibal did or did not want to move in with her and Tristian was completely okay with Kate.
