He carefully helped her up onto the bed once more as she grabbed onto his shoulder. He met her eyes for a second, but couldn't hold her gaze. He let his eyes fall to the floor as she spoke with a pleading tone. He could understand that she wanted to go home. Hospitals were horrible places that reminded him of death. People that stayed here were usually close to death or on their death beds. That was a bit of an exaggeration, but in reality it wasn't too far off. "But what if something goes wrong Kate? I'm not a doctor... Hell I panicked when you were shot." he said quickly. Still not being able to look at her. In the end he'd probably take her home, just because he wanted her to be happy... but he didn't think it was a good idea. If something went wrong, then he wouldn't know what to do, and chances were better then good that she wouldn't either. Besides, how was he going to get her out of here? It would look a tad suspicious if he carried her out of here. More then half the staff probably knew what she's gone through.

Kate let go of Hannibal’s shoulder as the doctor ran in, she looked as if she’d been running all day. What happened? her voice was rushed and somewhat out of breath. Before Hannibal got a chance to reply Kate quickly said I need my I.V. put back in
The doctor quickly cleaned up the blood from Kate’s first I.V. then with a new needle and I.V. tube the doctor stuck Kate’s arm with the needle then quickly replaced it with the tube Kate did not even blink. Just as the doctor finished another alarm sounded and she ran out of the room.
It was a few minute before Kate said anything, she wanted to say I could just hire a doctor to come to the house until my healed but reframed from saying it for the sake of not wanting to start another fight with Hannibal.
You know the first time we meet I didn’t like you because you were throwing your life away by smoking… I still can’t believe that I just walked up to you, grabbed your cigarette and pretty much told you off. Kate paused letting out a light sight Then everything in my life started to fall apart… and you were there for the whole ride…and I do not even know why. Kate paused again When I had thrown myself on you that night when Annie told me what happened to my mother and father I did not know it was you until I looked up to see your face… Your skin was cold from the water but your body was warm and comforting. Then when I kissed you later that day your lips had a salty taste to them from the pool water. Kate sighted again but with a very small hint of laughter And through all of this… everything we have been through I still have not a clue as to when I fell so deeply in love with you. Kate avoided locking eyes with Hannibal Now look at me… going things like hunting three people in Europe, hiding from you for almost three months and getting myself shot the same day I get home… things that are pretty much forcing you to throw your life away and for what?! Because I’m to stupid to think of anybody but myself! Kate’s voice sounded as if she had teared up and was about to cry but Kate forced herself to hold the tears in as she looked away to again avoid eye contact with Hannibal You’re right I am cold-blooded… I killed four people without thinking twice about it and I did not even hesitate… and I almost killed you. Kate was going to take a deep breath but cut it off to a short gasp just as Hannibal was about to speak I’m glad you didn’t follow with out to the pool because Jason would have shot you instead of me. Kate couldn’t held but lose her grip on holding her tears as they found a way to rolled down her face.
Out of the whole time we have known each other how many days have we both been happy? Kate’s voice was sad and not because Hannibal wouldn’t take her home but because they were so unhappy and out of the time they had known each other Kate had hurt Hannibal so much more with her greed than made him happy with her love.

What a strange meeting. It had been so random, and for some reason it didn't seem like that had ever happened to anyone else that could have been smoking in that bar that night. Only him. He'd been innocently sitting there, avoiding contact with most people and yet she goes for him and starts telling him off. That thought would never leave his mind. It was too awkward to forget, but yet it was something he hated to remember because seeing her in the hospital for the first time was too sad...
He listened as she said that when her life fell apart, he was there for her the whole time. He couldn't really think of a reason why, just a guess perhaps? There was something about Jason that he hadn't liked and he just followed her outside. That kind of made him sound a like a stalker in his own mind, but he was glad that he'd helped her. Even though she has been in and out of the hospital, and was gone from him for so long, he still felt love in his heart. Now, occasionally that love had nearly left him, and that was when he started making horrible choices. When he thought he would loose hope in her. He took up those things so he could stop worrying, even though he'd never openly admit that. He didn't like to worry, and the more he worried the less sure he was that she would make it out in the end.
He was quiet as she said she couldn't figure out when she'd fallen in love with him. That answer was never an answer that anyone knew. Love is what it is and whatever it is, it's good usually. He tried to find her eyes, but she avoided his.
Hannibal frowned as she said all those things, and then said he was right about what he said. He didn't want her to think that... although it was true... She was really a great person to be around when she didn't have that darkness in her gorgeous eyes. He understood her hatred for those men, and he'd said that in the stillness of the moment. He hadn't really believed, from the bottom of his heart that he would have heard the truth from her. It had shocked him, and he hadn't known what to say to her. He bit the inside of his lips a bit and wanted to speak as she took a deep breath, but he was cut off rather sharply.
He listened to the last of her words and couldn't bring himself to answer her question. There might have been one or two times that both of them were happy... if even that. The two of them were either fighting, or she was in the hospital or out hunting. Hannibal was there for her whenever she needed him, and even when she didn't need him... However, when he'd fallen apart and sunk to the new level that he had gone to, she hadn't been there for him. He'd been suffering alone while she was in Europe or whatever. He'd fallen lower then he'd ever been, reverting to pain and drugs. Hell, he still did drugs, but before had been a time where he needed someone to rip the joint from his lips and just scold him like she'd done the day they met. He needed to have the blade ripped from his fingers as it slid across his skin and spilled the red liquid.
He carefully sat on the edge of her bed and rested his hand on her shoulder. "I can't even think of how many times the two of us have been happy, but it's a new start now. With a little bit of help I'm sure I can stop my horrid habits, and you will be able to heal in time..." he said with a soft sigh as he looked over at her, and gently wiped a tear away from her loveable features. She still looked as gorgeous as he could always remember, and he knew he looked different. He was paler then ever before, and the dark secrets dwelled in the empty black parts of his eyes. His wide pupils showed the hollowness that he'd felt without her, and that he still had many doubts about himself and about the life he was choosing to live. His eyes were like an open book of his emotions because of what he was going through. Unusually you could look into Hannibal's dark eyes and see love, a strong love the burned within them. Now they had changed, and showed signs of weakness. They showed off the habits he'd picked up and they showed that he was never going to be as strong as he used to be. His mind was tortured through this whole experience, and he would probably never be exactly the same. If he dropped pot he'd be 75% better at least. "Then everything will be as it was before, and we can forget all this." Hannibal was trying to be optimistic, because sometimes, even in his early years of life, optimism was all that he had to get him through the events that took place in his life. Whether it was beatings from his father, or long time period's away from Kate, optimism was all he had.

Kate wished he was right but she knew that she could never forget the pain she had put Hannibal through, while she was out getting her unreasonable revenge Hannibal had needed her more than ever and she was letting him waste away. Kate felt Hannibal’s hand on her shoulder then she felt him wipe away her tears. Kate didn’t say anything she looked up but not really looking at Hannibal; Kate slowly wrapped her arms around Hannibal embracing him in a longing hug as she buried her face into his chest, desperately trying to hold her tears back again How could I have done this to you? Kate’s voice was muffled and barely above a light whisper she doubt Hannibal had heard her and she didn’t care one way or another.
As a nurse knocked on the door and walked in Kate didn’t let go of Hannibal She never wanted to let go of him again. The nurse waited to speak until Kate looked up but once she realized that Kate wasn’t going to she said Kate we are going to Keep you here for a few days to a week to make sure that everything is okay.
Kate nodded her understanding and the nurse turned walking back out of the room. Kate’s chest hurt from leaning against Hannibal’s body while she hugged him but Kate tried to not care about it the only thing she wanted to care about was the warmth of his body and the softness of his embracement.

He draped his long arms around her as she hugged him, and buried her face in his chest. She spoke in a muffled, very hard to hear tone. He leaned closer to her and held her gently. He didn't know what she had said, but it obviously wasn't too important or she would have said it again. He let his fingers gently run down her back. His gentle hands traced up the tense muscles as she held him close. He wished they could stay this close forever. If they stayed like this nothing bad could happen to either of them. She'd never get hurt again, and he'd be able to get over his addiction. He knew that would never happen though... Hannibal's eyes looked up to the nurse as she walked in and waited for her to look up, but she never did and so she spoke anyway. He kept his arms around her and shifted ever so slightly, so his arms were around her, and instead of hugging his shoulder she could lean into him a little bit more.
He leaned his head against hers and sighed softly, but contently. He ever wanted her to have to go through this again. He didn't know why Jason had shot her so cruelly, and wished that he hadn't. Hannibal had suffered just as she did, if not more in some people's opinions. He would never put himself above anyone though. He wasn't the type to raise himself above and see those lower then him. No, he was average and nothing extraordinary. "I don't know what I would do without you Kate..." he said softly, breaking the silence of the room. He did know in all reality though... He'd slip into the same way he was before... while she was in a coma it was like she was gone. She never said anything, and although she moved occasionally, it usually wasn't enough to boost his optimism. He'd been so down while she was out... It had been a horrible time for his health.

Kate tuned into every little detail of Hannibal Kate closed her eyes and listened as his lung filled with air and then released his breath. Kate grabbed small hand fulls of the back of Hannibal’s shirt as if she refused to let go.
A female voice spoke softly through the intercom visiting hours are now over will all visitors please exit the building now
Kate did not know if Hannibal was going to stay since he was told he could or go home but Kate still did not want to let him go. I don’t want to let go of you Hannibal… Kate moving a little tucking her forehead on his collar bone so that her voice wasn’t as muffled this time is was just perfectly toned Kate felt tired now even though she just woke up from a coma not even two hours ago.
Hannibal… Kate spoke softly I love you.

He felt her small hands grab hand fulls of his shirt, as if he was going somewhere. He wasn't going to leave her. He was given permission to stay here and he would. He wasn't going to leave her alone. He'd been with her this whole time and today was only different because he was allowed to stay the night instead of having to go home. He scooted closer to Kate, and kissed her gently. "I'm not going to leave you..." he said quietly, keeping his arms around her and giving a reassuring tighter hug. He was going to stay with her all night, and be there for her if she needed him. It was so lonely when he wasn't with her, because she was all he could think about on most days. If he wasn't thinking about her, he was wondering when he'd meet Daniel again.

Kate smiled very weakly has he said he wasn’t going to leave her. The pain in her chest grew a bit has he hugged her tighter and she tightened her jaws Ssss… Not only was Kate’s chest was sore but so was her back were the bolt had exited her body.
Kate loved the warmth of Hannibal’s body, and the softness of his hands were comforting.

"Sorry..." he said quickly, wishing he'd just stayed how he was before and not hugged her tighter. "Sorry..." the second time his words were softer and looked at her with a sideways glance. He hadn't meant to hurt her... but he'd just spaced it out for a brief second there and that was a long enough time for her to feel the pain of his mistake... He quickly changed the subject by asking a question. "What... was it like being in a coma? Did you hear me talking all that time?"

Kate relaxed a little as he loosened his grip Its okay. Kate replied as he quickly apologized. Kate looked down then she looked back up to Hannibal’s face I only heard some of what you were saying… at first I heard everything… but after a while I didn’t hear anything… Kate looked down at Hannibal’s hands Taking them in hers But I always felt your hands… well at less their warmth… But other than that I don’t remember. Kate brought his hands up toward her face resting her lips on them not really kissing them I do remember always thinking about you.. and sometimes I though I would hear you. Kate paused for a good three minutes then said But it seemed like I had only been a sleep for a couple of hours. Kate wished it had only been a couple of hour but she knew it had been a lot longer.

"Do you think it helped that I talked to you? The doctor said it would, but sometimes I don't think it did... Especially when i started going about how horrible things were..." he said, remembering when he'd started telling her all that and the tear had fallen from her eyes. That couldn’t have been good for her to hear all that even though she said she had seen the cuts when she died. She probably wouldn't have known about the pot though, and that was worse because he was still into that. He'd stopped cutting though. "Really? I wish it had only been a couple of hours..." he said quietly, with a soft laugh escaping his vocals. A lot less shit could have happened and he would be a lot more like how he used to be if it had only been a few hours. People he knew before had said he was like a shell of what he used to be, and it was just because of the drugs.

I don’t know… When I stopped hearing you I though I was gone. Kate said then she listened to him speak. Then when he said that he had wished it had only been a couple of hours too Kate smiled as he laughed a little bit. Kate was scared to laugh because if her chest hurt with just a hug Kate could only image the pain of her insides jerking with the movement of her laughing.
Sleep was writing all over Kate eyes but she did not want to sleep just yet even though her body was telling her to Kate was also scared that she would not wake up again going into another coma.

"There was only that one time that I thought you had really died. It was when you said you saw me... I was terrified. I didn't know what I would have done if you died that moment... but I am so glad that you didn't. I would have never been the same... They had even begun taking note of the time you died..." he said quietly, his hands just trembling at the thought. He'd been so heartbroken. He couldn't believe that he'd just been sitting there, talking, and then her heart gave out and she nearly was pronounced dead, but as if someone had been watching over the two of them, she was revived. Hannibal will never forget that moment, it was probably the first real feeling of hope he'd ever had since the whole time she was in the hospital. "You look tired..." he said quietly, looking into her eyes, his own were begging for sleep but he just couldn't. Not as long as she was awake. He was not going to sleep.

Kate said I am… but … Kate decided not to finish what she was going to say. After a few minutes Kate again wrapped her arms around Hannibal.
Kate could have fallen asleep right there but she kept her eyes open.
-God this is the suckest post ever!-

His hand came up to rest on her back, being very gentle not to rest it anywhere near the sore wound. He didn't want her to hurt again because of something that he did. She was tired, and looked as if she could fall asleep on him as she held her arms around his figure. He didn't see how for he must have been uncomfortable to lean on... but he too could fall asleep right now. He was so tired, but kept himself awake. He'd seen her lay there for so long, not moving or saying anything and now that she was awake he felt as though he needed to sleep for months as well. He'd lost a lot of sleep as he worried about her, and now she was better, somewhat. He could look into her eyes and know she was still there. Before, he wasn't able to do that, before he'd just had to hope she was there. "I'm gonna be so glad when this is all over... when you're better and when we don't have to stay in here..." he said quietly as he stayed close to her. Now he was just randomly thinking allowed, trying to keep himself awake while she was still awake. He was glad when he didn't have to come back here though... He didn't like hospitals at all. “There’s no one out there that would want to hurt you like Jason, is there?” he asked quietly, hoping this wouldn’t happen again.
