Green = Tony Pink = Kate
It was Tony’s day off and he had just happened to be in town when the violence had started. As soon as he seen Hannibal at the edge of the building holding a gun and a over weight male he pulled out his phone and called Kate:
Miss Kate turn on your television to channel six. What? Why. Just as Kate did so the phone dropped from her hand and her eyes widened Oh my god… Hannibal what Have you done? With out even hanging up the phone Kate grabbed her car keys and ran out the door leaving it wide open. She pushed the gate key and the gates opened before she even got the car started. Kate quickly turned the key making the engines roar loudly she floored the gas and sped onto the road pushing the car as fast as it could go…
-less then five minutes later- Kate flu into ton going at less two hundred miles per hour then she slammed the breaks jumping out of the car not even worrying if someone would steal it she could always buy a new one. Kate found Tony and started asking questions.
Oh god Tony how long as this been happening? Kate looked over on the side walk to see the unknown male that had talked to her nine days ago being covered up with a black cover bag until they got a body bag down here. Her eyes wide and her heart beating so fast she was starting to think it was going to beat its self right out of her chest. I do not know miss. Tony said in a clam voice… was he enjoying this? Hannibal…? Kate whispered to her self… his phone…was is still the same number? She hoped so… Kate ran back to her car reached in a grabbed her cell phone. With shaky hands she dialed Hannibal’s number or at less she hoped it was Hannibal’s cell phone number still… it rang but no answer. Kate walked over to a police officer. I know him… I think I can help. Fly me up there with the helicopter and let me talk to him… The police officers agreed and allowed Kate to get into the helicopter. Slowly they flu her to the opposite side of the building allowing her to climb down off a rope ladder. Kate turned around to face Hannibal as the helicopter backed off. Kate’s expression was painful and heartbroken that Hannibal would do this to himself she just stood there watching him the longer she stood there the harder it was to keep her eyes from tearing up… then after a few minutes Kate could finally bring herself to speak Hannibal please… stop this meaningless action... Kate’s voice was emotionally pleading him to stop. Why are you doing this to yourself? Kate slowly stepped closer toward Hannibal she was ready for anything. What was the worse he could do to her? Shoot her, been there and back again all in one peace. He could just simply kill her, hah that would only be helping her. Kate kept her hands at her sides watching him, she did not know how stable he was and with everything in heart she hoped that coming up he could save his life… She did not know how he felt about her anymore but she hoped that he felt enough to listen to her and clam down. But with Kate’s recent luck he would most likely put up a fight against her.

Hannibal watched the helicopter with cold eyes as it flew up toward the opposite side of the building. He turned his attention to the yelling group of people once more before he heard the words of the familiar girl. He tightened his arm around the fat male’s neck as he turned his body a bit, and held the gun at his side, finger still on the trigger in case he needed it. His body was very tense and there was no telling what he could do in this moment. He was very angry and affected by alcohol and drugs. His dark brown eyes, almost black eyes were hid from sight behind heavy eyelids as he turned away from her again. His body faced the crowd and his head was dropped a bit, making it look as though he was thinking about what she said, actually contemplating the action of stopping this. However his body remained tense and he quickly turned around as she spoke again, asking why he was doing this to himself. He pointed the gun at her heart as she stepped closer to him.
“You j-just stay back there…” he said in a shaken tone. It was much quieter then anything he’d said to the crowd below. His hand was steady as he kept the gun pointed at her, and his body was tense. He let go of the male he’d held in a head lock and his fat body fell to the ground at Hannibal’s feet, shaky hands coming up to feel the bruised flesh on his neck where Hannibal’s arm had left little room for breathing or comfort… The overweight, still young, but 40 + years of age male blubbered something only Hannibal could hear and the young, twenty two year old male struck him with the butt of the gun and caused him to whimper in response and hold the tender area where he’d been hit. His head pounded and he stayed on the ground at Hannibal’s feet. He raised the gun up once more in a defensive manner as his eyes looked at Kate from the distance they stood. He didn’t want her too close to him.
“I’m done Kate.” He said quietly, his eyes falling to the male that was still whimpering quietly at his feet like the pathetic bitch that he was. “Shut up.” He growled, threatening to kick the male’s head before his eyes found Kate’s body once more to make sure that she hadn’t come any closer to him. This was his space, and he didn’t want anyone too close. The man was only allowed here because he was Hannibal’s hostage. The man had tortured him for years when they lived together, and now he was returning the favor to the man that he didn’t believe was actually his father. They resembled one another very little; his father was medium height, fat, had blue eyes, and blonde hair… Hannibal was very tall, very lean, had very dark brown eyes and thick brown hair. They looked nothing like one another.
“I can’t do this anymore. Julian betrayed me, and then told me what you said. Those insults cut deep, and I wish you would have found me to tell them to me. If that’s how you really felt, I wanted to hear it from you. I didn’t want to hear my ex-boyfriend say it to me after I watched you drive away in a hurried manner…” he said, his arm trembling a bit, and he dropped the gun back down to his side, finger still on the trigger. His eyes showed that he didn’t want Kate to come any closer as he rested his arm at his side, just because it was down there didn’t mean he would hesitate to shoot. “Why would you say that about me Kate? You have been gone for a little more then a year, and then when you return to the small town that is my home, you can dare to insult me like that.” He spoke in cold tones. The words escaped his lips as if he owned the town, but in some sort of way he did. He knew everyone here and they knew him whether they wanted too or not. He had lived here, somewhat peacefully until Kate had returned... she began flaunting her money as she drove around in that mustang of hers, and stole all the attention from anything else that the two had going on. How could she dare to call him a self centered little brat, when all she seemed to care about was herself? Even in her letters she spoke of how she had changed her life for the better of herself. She had not wanted to come see him because of her own reasons. What about his love for her? Did she not care that he had missed her terribly throughout those long times where she didn’t send him letters?

Kate stepped closer… slowly.
”I never insulted you. You want to know what I said? I’ll tell your because it seems you do not know that whole story uh. I called you foolish for hiding from me… you should know better than anyone that I would not care what you are into or what you looked like. And I told that guy to tell you because apparently did not want me to see you if you were hiding so I said he can tell that flustered boy that he had great potential if he had just kept trying. And yes I did call you a self centered little brat and look; you are proving me right by what you are doing right now… I called you that because look at your self you have only gotten worse after what do did to try and help your self…”
Kate’s voice started to get shaky as a tear rolled down her face she wiped it away before another one had the chance to follow behind it
told that guy to ask you weather or not I should be as disappointed in you as I am? Then I said for you to grow some balls and face me instead of hiding… I do not care what People say, you are not worthless, nor are you pathetic. You have always had my love, you just didn’t feel it, and I have always wanted to help you Hannibal but I couldn’t in the state that I was in. We both needed help but we where being stubborn and though we could handle losing what we did…”
Kate could not help but let multiple tears roll down her face at the memory of what they did lose, they lost each other and their son, Kate did not bother with wiping them away,
“Nothing I said was intended to insult you. I love you beyond anything reasonable… I would give up everything… I would even give up my own life right now using that gun you are holding in your hand… I would give it all up for you Hannibal. Go ahead test me…”
Kate slowly stepped in the gun. As Hannibal held it up at her… the look in Kate’s eyes was different from anything else any one as ever see…uncaring if Hannibal pulled the trigger, but towards Hannibal they were unjudging, compassionate, and showed just how deeply Kate loved him… just then her light brown eyes that were so filled with life reveled just how far Kate was willing to go for the sake of Hannibal.
“Pull the trigger…”
Her voice shaken with tears and twisted with a choke of wanting to embrace the man she so desperately loved… to hold him in his darkest hour… she wanted to help him heal… She wanted to take him away from everything that made his life so complicated and so disturbing that it would lead him to kill others and become a murderer just like she was. Kate wanted to show him a whole new world where he can start over just like she did…

He watched as she walked slowly toward him, and although her movement was slow, she was still getting closer to him and he didn't want that. His eyes were focused on her as she moved closer, speaking to him in firm tones as she explained what she said. Lips parted to show a somewhat shocked expression as he listened to her. The words that poured from her mouth were nearly the opposite of what Julian had said to him. He'd said that she had said he was worthless, and that he wasn't anything even before he'd went to the rehab facility. He'd torn Hannibal up inside with lies. The words that came from her mouth were not nearly as painful as what Julian had said. He'd flat out said that she didn't care for him anymore, but that was not the case. He watched the tear roll down her face and swallowed hard as he watched her. His dark eyes were hollow, and his face had now returned to being expressionless, instead of being shocked.
Hannibal shook his head as she spoke. It didn't feel like she had always loved him... especially when he went away to try and help himself. The letters didn't come as often as he'd hoped and what she told him she'd done to the house. He'd never seen her once when he was in there, practically going insane. He would have given anything to see her when he was in there, but she never came, just told him how much she was changing and how much she couldn't come over. He listened to her last words. That was true. They were both stubborn and thought they could handle things, but in the end it only affected them deeply. People needed someone to handle things with, especially someone who knows the pain of the loss. Hannibal needed Kate through this, and she might have needed him.
Hannibal's hand didn't move as he held the gun firmly in his hand. The whole time he'd watched her get closer, and he still hadn't pulled the trigger that would cause the gun to shoot to kill. Hannibal's legs felt weak below him as he stood on the edge of the building. He wanted to step backwards and move away from Kate, but there was nothing behind him. If he stepped off now he'd fall to his death. He didn't drop the gun, just held it at her chest when she stepped into it. His hollow, empty, bloodshot, dark brown eyes gazed into hers. The clear eyes that gave a different look that he'd never seen before. They were uncaring, but in the same moment they showed him compassion, and that they were not going to judge him. He knew she loved him as he gazed into those light brown eyes...
He only closed his own. They were hollow and he couldn't look into her eyes forever. So much emotion was walled up inside of him that he was just going to break down and spill everything out of him. All those feelings that had been caged up inside of him will have to come out sometime, and he didn't want it to be now. He didn't want to feel vulnerable, and that's how he felt when he showed his emotions. Even with someone as close as Kate here, he still felt vulnerable. If she looked into his eyes she would be able to see the weakness that lurked within his soul. His dependence on drugs and alcohol that has been the only thing keeping his alive. His loneliness that has overcome him, which lead him to the whoreish state he's in; sleeping with everyone he can. The uneasiness of feeling as though he was worthless; no one seemed to care for him, but he didn't care for them either.
It all could be seen within his eyes as they flickered open once more. They gazed at her like a lost child might gaze at a police officer. The need to be loved and held tightly, a need to be taken some place safe where no one can hurt him, a need to be secure in someone's arms. It was all there... for a very brief moment.
His eyes grew cold then, and angry. His face no longer held that calm, slightly shocked expression. It was twisted into a darkened face, a face that didn't show that need to feel loved. He didn't need any of that, he was just angry and didn't want it. He was angered by the fact that he was such a coward and that she was able to dig so deeply into his soul. How did she do that to him? He didn't know, but it annoyed him. All she had to do was look at him the right way and she could do whatever it was that she wanted to do to him. She nearly killed him, and that last look she gave him caused him to follow her and get her help when she over dosed. What is that? Is that true love or control over him? He didn't know, and it made his blood boil.
“Fuck!” he yelled angrily as he pushed her away from him, making her back up so he could step down. “Why the hell do you do that? More importantly, how the hell do you do that?” he growled, his tones kind of slurred because of the alcohol, but for the most part he was very easily understood since she was in the same area as him. He stepped off the edge of the building since he had room after pushing her away. “You fucking leave for a whole fucking year and I get myself stuck in some fucked up downward spiral, then you come and you can make everything better by just saying you’d give up your life for me if I shot you right now.” He threw his hands up in the air as he walked away from her, but only a few paces before he turned around again to face her. “Is it because you know I’m too scared and fucked up to do it? Is that the only thing that gives your courage to say that kind of stuff? Because you know that I love you more then anything in the world and am too much of a chicken to ever actually hurt you?” the words slipped from his mouth and he wasn’t phased by the fact that he just admitted that he still loved her more then anything in the world. In fact, he didn’t even seem as though he realized he actually admitted it.
“That can’t be true. No one cares that much about someone else, especially someone like me. How the hell can you say that if you know anything about my current life?” he asked, just wanting answers now. His face was still very angry, but his eyes begged her for answers. He didn’t understand how she could still say that. “I am smoking pot and cigarettes again, does that bother you? Shouldn’t it count against me? You know, in this sick and twisted game of love?” he asked. “I’ve probably slept with everyone in this god damned town, does that affect you? What have you done while I begged for you to come see me? You changed everything. This asshole was the only one that came to see me…” he said as he walked over and grabbed the elder men by his collar. “This man, this thing… was the only one that came to see me. You wouldn’t even come to see me… but he did. He beat the shit out of me, but he came to see me.” He said.
In one calm, thoughtless movement he pushed the fat man off the edge of the building. Hannibal became deathly silent as he listened to the long, echoing screams of the man as he plummeted toward his certain death. The terrified murmurs of the crowd were heard for a brief moment, and then the thud at the end that killed his father. He didn’t even flinch or think twice as he stood there. His eyes were fixed on the female in front of him, and he still held the gun to his side.

Hannibal took a few steps backward, as she took a few steps toward him. He watched her hand reach out to touch him, but he kept his body just out of her reach. He could see her fingers shaking as she spoke and stopped just before touching him. His dark eyes made their way to the gun in his hand and looked at it in silence. The tips of his fingers brushed over the cool steel which when used correctly held the power to kill anything that was living. He looked up at her, his eyes being the only thing that moved. He didn’t move his head to gaze directly at her, just his eyes moved and he still remained silent.
His body shifted a bit to sit on the edge of the roof top. His elbows rested on his knees and he held the gun in his hands. He leaned over a bit to look at the two men whose bodies now lay flat against the concrete below them. He could see the lights of police cars and ambulances in the distance. People in the crowd looked up at him and he could see Julian’s family all bunched up around their son’s body. Hannibal dropped the gun at his feet and looked over to Kate. His dark eyes had that soft, needing look in them again and he slowly rose to a standing position, rising once more to his full height. With careful steps he made his way over to her and just barley let his arms hold her. He stood close, and raised his arms enough to lightly wrap them around her. His body was very tense against hers and he didn’t say anything that whole moment. He just kept his body tense and waited for her reaction.

Kate held the rest of her tears in. She did not move when Hannibal stepped toward her… She brought her arms up wrapping them around Hannibal’s neck embracing him. As one hand remained on shoulders Kate right hand clung to the lower part of the back of Hannibal head just right before his hair line ended. Was the rampage finally over? Kate rested her chin softly on Hannibal’s shoulder next to her arm pressing the side of her head softly against hannibal’s.

Her arms wrapped around Hannibal's neck and still he was tense, but he relaxed a little bit as he let his strong, but gentle arms pull her closer to his body. He was slightly worried that she would pull away from him if he held onto her too long, but he took that small chance and kept her close enough to hear her heart beat. He hid his bloodshot eyes behind heavy eyelids as she pressed her head against his. Very hesitant arms bent at the elbows and his hands rested against her back. He swallowed hard, and let a breath escape his lungs that he didn't know he'd been holding. He kept his eyes hidden as he stood with her for a moment, and then lips parted to let him speak. “I’m so sorry… I still don’t know how you can love me… but thanks…” the words were barley above a whisper as he spoke.

I need to get you out of there before they come up. Kate said she only knew that they had not yet up entered the building so their best chance was the stairs and out the back door of the building but her car was parked out front. If the cops got a hold of Hannibal he would be put in jail and would have the same sentencing as she would have if they found out about what she did… death… by what she did not know but murder was one of the highest offenses in this state and almost every murderer who as killed more than one person was put to death. If Hannibal would come with her she would leave today back for England giving Hannibal a new start… Her jet was always ready for whenever she wanted to leave and she could get them to the air port in less than five minutes. Kate still held him the helicopter had to be refueled so the police did not have a bird watching Kate and Hannibal and had no clue what was going on. Kate figured that they had about a ten minute window to get the hell off this building… but only if Hannibal wanted to go with her…

“I know, if I stay here I will be taken into custody… Where will we go?” he asked quietly as he pulled away a little bit. He pulled away from her embrace just enough to look at her face. His red eyes took in her features as a wondering expression showed on his face. He knew she had money and knew she could go wherever she wanted, but he didn’t know if he wanted to do that. He’d have to leave everything… but then again he didn’t want to be arrested and be charged with murder. He had two counts, and it was premeditated. He hadn’t just got up and decided he wanted to kill someone, oh no. He’d been thinking about it for a while and planned how to get them both up here. Those fucking bastards. Both of them deserved to die. Seeing Julian’s family huddled around him hurt a little, but he didn’t feel anything for that low life man. He pulled his arms away from Kate as the sirens could be heard getting closer. His body stayed tense and he looked around, knowing one way out for sure, but they would have to be fast before the police arrived. “I’ll go with you… just we have to hurry…” he said quietly, making the choice to leave. He knew it would be hard to leave, but he had too. He’d go anywhere with Kate.

Kate let go of Hannibal only to take his hand. He turned and ran for the door that would take them to the stairs. She opened the door and started running down the stairs still holding onto Hannibal’s hand hoping he would not fall down the heavy stairs. After a minute or two they had reached the base the back door was only just around the corner… when they reached the door Kate said My car is parked out front I am going to get it stay here until I get back. Kate let go of Hannibal’s hand as she ran out the door knowing what she was doing… she was a murderer that everyone had been looking for and now she was helping another murderer get away… something Kate was going to risk her life for.
-three minutes later-
the roaring engine turned the corner of the building skidding to a stop by the back door. Kate waited until Hannibal was in the car to gear the engine and floor the gas speeding out of town using the back raods…

Hannibal had to use all the focus he possibly had to make it safely down the stairs. He could walk alright without stumbling, but too many flights of stairs was a much different story. He laced his fingers with hers as she took his hand and was very careful but fast to follow her down. They got to the door and Kate spoke. He bit the inside of his lip and nodded slightly as he closed the door after her and watched from the window. His tall figure was hidden for the most part; as he just let his eyes see the world outside. He couldn't believe all this was happening. He hid his bloodshot optics behind heavy eyelids as he waited for her to return.
That had been the longest three minutes, probably for sometime. Nothing could be longer then that time he spent in rehab... He moved out the back door, and awkwardly fit his tall figure into the sleek spots car. He was ready quickly and she shifted harshly and floored the gas, sending them away from the building and out along the many back roads that would get them out. Hannibal adjusted his seat a bit so that way it wasn't so hard to sit comfortably in the car. His eyes watched as the sirens and lights filled the area. Police officers pushed the crowd out of the way to get on top of the building where they'd find the gun.
“So where is it we are going?” he asked, still looking out the window. His tones were very quiet, and his eyes were finally pulled away from the sight to look back at her. He was with her all the way and wouldn’t ask her to turn back. He didn’t want to turn back, but was slightly curious. He’d never been anywhere else then here, as this was his home. He’d always lived here and the furthest he’s gone from home was to visit family in the bordering states when he was a child.

Kate looked over at Hannibal for a brief second before returning her eyes to the road the airport… then I’m gonna take you to my house in England. her heart beating fast as they pulled into the airport the jet’s hatch opened as Kate honked the horn. Slowly she drove the black car into the cargo hold of the huge plane that she owned. The plane’s engine started and slowly took off and Kate strapped the car down to keep it from moving and hitting something.
After the plane was level and steadied in the air Kate stood up and walked closer to Hannibal embracing him in a loving hug as her arms wrapped around him.

“What?!” he asked, and his tone wasn’t due to the fact they were going so far away, it was that he knew they’d be taking a plane and he didn’t do so well in planes. They got there and she drove the car up without letting him have a chance to get out of the car. They got in and the hatch closed, sealing them within the plane. Hannibal moved to a seat and strapped himself in, eyes focused on the seat in front of him as his stomach turned in circles and tied itself into knots. His hands tightly gripped the arm rests and he closed his eyes slightly.
Finally the airplane steadied in the air and his grip loosened a bit. His stomach still churned uneasily, but he was better now. His body relaxed a bit, as he felt the loving around come around him in an embrace. He let a small smile cross his face as he wrapped his arms around her for a moment, before he felt the sudden urge of needing a bag. He turned away a bit as he threw up in a ‘barf bag’. He ran his fingers through his hair and mopped his hands over his face. His eyes hurt a bit, and his head was throbbing painfully, but he was glad that he was safe now. He had someone that loved him sitting right next to him. “Sorry…” he said with a soft laugh as he pulled some gum from his pocket and offered her some. Gum would ease his stomach a bit since he hasn’t eaten today. “So, you have a mansion in England as well? Or just a normal house?”

Kate shook her head at the gum. Mansion. It is smaller than all the others. the though and realty of everything setting itself into Kate’s mind. It was because of her that Hannibal was going to kill him self taking two other people before him. Kate suddenly felt tired. She reached up and rested her hand on Hannibal’s face then she leaned resting her head on his shoulder I would really give everything up for you. Even if it meant going to hell as my punishment. Kate let her hand fall his the side of his face to lace her fingers with his. Kate closed her eyes listening to his heart beat.
