Hannibal listened as the doctor spoke, a small frown having graced his pale features. That was terrible. The man must have beaten her pretty good... or just knew how to hit her so he caused the most damage in a little amount of time. Either way it was bad and he was gonna go see her. There wasn't much he could do, but seeing her at least being in a safe place was good. No one here would hurt her, meaning that she was safe from the younger guy that practically chased her out of the bar.
Hannibal walked silently down the halls, looking for the room she was in. He stood out like a sore thumb in these halls. Dressed head to toe in black while nurses, doctors and the whole building was painted white. His dark brown, almost black eyes stopped and held still as they landed on the room number and looked in through the small window. Kate was laying there with her eyes closed, and her face was bruised and stitched up. It looked horrible and imagined that it hurt a whole lot. He couldn't even think of a better sentence to describe how it probably felt. He'd only gotten stitches once, but it had been on the back of his leg, not his face...
Hannibal walked in quietly and sat in the chair at the end of her bed. His dark eyes looked at her features for a second before turning them away and gazing out the window at the almost starless night. The moon was only a small sliver of light and it shined down into the room, but wasn't as noticeable as the light that came from the walls.

Thank you, Hannibal Kate said weakly. Kate’s eyes slowly opened again as she heard him come in to the room. Kate took a deep breathe then said softly I didn’t think you would stay were and wait.
As in much pain Kate was she was overly happy that Hannibal stayed to wait and see if she was okay. Kate did not want to be left alone although she knew that Jason would not dare come here. Kate smiled softly. The pain in Kate’s face and shoulder made her want to cry again but she did not let it come out.
Kate waited a few minutes for the pain to clam down a bit then spoke in a somewhat shattered kind of voice You know, you don’t stay here. I’ll be okay. Kate watched Hannibal with a thankful kind of smiled and yet Kate’s eyes showed it all with the glossy cover that she scared.

"I had to. Couldn't just leave you. It's horrible waking up in a hospital all alone." he said with a small smile. "Or it is in my opinion anyway." he'd been here so many times it wasn't even funny. Whether he'd come here for a broken rib, a few busted fingers or for a simple broken nose, he'd been here multiple times. It was terrible to wake up in a place like this, being all alone under the bright lights with people you don't know all staring at you. It was worse when he was younger though. Now he's somewhat accustomed to it because he's gotten to know quite a few of the doctors and nurses. Before it had been weird and terrifying.
He watched her silently after that. His dark brown eyes seeing the pain showing upon her features. Kate's soft eyes glazed over to become shiny and fearful. He wished he could help her out by making all the pains go away, but he knew that was impossible, or he would do that for himself. Get rid of all his nasty bruises and stupid stuff like that. A very small smile crossed over Hannibal's features as the thankful sort of smile showed itself on her face as she said he didn't have to stay here. "Well, if you want me to leave I will. You're probably dead tied after all that has happened..." His tones were soft, and hinted that he'd stay if she wanted someone to say, but they also gave her the choice of letting him leave. He wouldn't be hurt if she wanted him gone, and he'd be fine staying if she wanted company.

Kate watched him, the pain faded and she spoke softly True… Kate waited before saying anything else It’s your choice to stay or leave… I mean we barely know each other… Kate sighted and turned her head to look out the window.
After about three to five minutes of staring out of the window Kate sat up, looked down at the IV in her arm. Kate looked up at Hannibal then grabbed the IV tube and putted it out as fast as her could; then she putted the blankets off her legs sliding them over the edge of the bed. Kate stood up and looked down at the hospital gown that came to right above her knees. Kate looked around for her clothes, after scanning the room she seen them sitting nicely folded up on a stand across the room. Kate walked over and grabbed them. Then she looked at Hannibal I don’t know what your choice is going to be but I’m making mine right now. I am leaving, maybe I’ll go home, lock all the doors and windows and sit in my room doing nothing.

Hannibal watched her for a second and stood up, stretching hi long arms out above his head. He was dead tired, didn't know why. Today had been a fairly inactive day and he hadn't done hardly anything. He listened as she said she was making her choice to leave. "Well, if you're leaving I have no reason to be here. This place creeps me out anyway." Hannibal spoke in quiet tones as if something would kill him for saying that. He fished around in his pocket for the small box of cigarettes. Hmm... Must have left them somewhere... Damn. That box had the good lighter too..." Hannibal checked a few more pockets before looking over to Kate.
"Hope you have a pleasant evening. I'm off to search my steps." He said with a small smile and nod as he gave a look around the room, seeing if perhaps he'd left them in here. Of course, things couldn't be that easy. He retraced his steps down the hall and smirked when he found them sitting on the window cill. He walked to them and opened the pack. A few elder women sitting in the room gave his angered looks as he placed to cigarette snug between his lips. He glared at them with dark eyes and started walking for the door. It was raining outside. Just his luck. He pulled up the collar of his leather jacket and pulled it up over his head a little bit as he walked out into the rain. It took a little while to get a good chance for the lighter to work. Finally he lit it and the flame licked the tip of the cancer stick and Hannibal stood under the archway, waiting for the rain to cease so he could continue on his long adventure home.

Kate got dressed and walked to the door of her room. Kate looked out up and down the hall way to see if the doctor would see her then she run for the pay phone calling her driver. When she hung up Kate ran to the sliding doors to wait the rain had picked up to a good down pour.
About five minutes after the rain was still pouring hard. The driver pulled up, got out and helped Kate into the back of the black car. Thank you, Alfred Kate said to the driver. Not a problem, Miss Kate Alfred nodded shutting the door. Alfred quickly run to the driver door and got in. As Alfred drove off Kate spotted Hannibal walking in the rain. Alfred put up to that boy you see him right? Kate said from the back I wish to speak to him. Alfred nodded Yes Miss Kate right a way. Alfred drove the car slowly up to Hannibal as Kate rolled down the very darkly tinted window. Hannibal… get in please. Your going to get sick. Kate asked in a pleading kind of way. Alfred stop the car please. Alfred nodded again as he slowly stopped the car. Yes Miss Kate Kate watched Hannibal. How could she just let him walk to where ever he was going the a pouring down rain and possibly get sick when after he scared off Jason, called 911, got her the hospital, then he stayed and made sure she was ok. Kate was just not that kind of person.

Hannibal walked with silent steps as the rain came pouring down. It was mereciless, drenching him after only a few minutes of walking. He still had quite a ways to go before he reached his apartment, but he was fine. He'd walked through worse conditions, and he'd felt worse. He was feeling fine which balance out the terrible weather to make it seem only bad. His lungs took in the smoke as he tapped the ash off the end of the cigarette. He exhaled as the car was driving up toward him and slowed to his side, and finally stopped. Hannibal watched carefully as from behind the tinted window, Kate's face appeared, and her tones were almost pleading as she said to get in. Yeah, he would probably get sick, but hey, could be worse...
He could have not followed her outside, and she could be dead, laying in the rain while he was inside the bar getting wasted and doing something idiotic. That was always worse then walking home in the rain and risking getting sick... Sickness will go away, hang overs can go away, but doing something idiodic could end up damaging his life in some huge way. He stopped in his place as Kate watched him, her eyes didn't leave him for the moment as she waited for him to get in. He would be completely fine with walking... even though it was cold, and wet... What the hell?
He walked over to the other side and opened the door as he took one last drag off the cigarette and tossed it away. He knew more often then not people preferred that they not have someone smoking in their car. He had a motorcycle so it didn't matter if he smoked or not. He shut the door as he got it, and he took off his jacket, at least trying to keep the car dry, but it had been pouring, and he was walking in the rain... so it was inevidible. "Thanks. Sorry about the seats." he said with a very faint smile.
--pardon my spelling, spell check wasn't working.--

Kate watched as Hannibal ran to the other side of the car. His jacket drenched the floor and part of the seat but Kate did care Don’t worry about. Alfred will have it taken care of. Kate reached forward toward the front of the limo was a small compartment Kate opened it and pulled out a white towel with a red silk “P” on the corner of it. Kate leaned back and handed Hannibal it. Here you go. So where to? Kate asked as Alfred looked back in the review mirror awaiting directions. Alfred keep going. Kate said watching Hannibal. Right a way, Miss Kate Alfred nodded as he slowly pushed on the gas. Should I call the Mr. and Mrs. Miss Kate? Alfred asked softly as they turn stopped at stop sign. No, Alfred you shall not, they are not to know about this! Kate demanded By the time they get back these wounds will be got! Kate said in a bit higher tone yet they were bold and anyone would know that Kate was not messing around. Alfred nodded but kept to himself.
Kate waited a few minutes then looked at Hannibal and softly said Forgive, It’s just my parents can not find out about what happened.

Hannibal set the jacket across his legs and fixed the sleeves on his shirt so they were down his arms instead of folded up like they had been. His sleeves were wet, but it was better to have them down then to have his bare, bruised arms showing. He didn't like being questioned whenever someone sees his bruised figure, so he just tried to keep all of that hidden. Stupid Lesly. The bastard wouldn't leave him alone... He was sick of being beaten by that man... but Hannibal couldn't do anything about him... His thoughts were interrupted as she handed him a towel. "Thank you..." he spoke softly as he patted the towel over his face and ruffled his hair with it a bit. He ran his long fingers through his thick brown hair, sort of combing it back so it looked better then just being messy.
She watched hime driver by the name of Alfred awaited directions and she just said to keep going. Hannibal watched through the tinted windows as the rain fell from the sky. Ekk, he would have walked home in this. He was insane to have thought about doing it, but glad that he hadn't. He was cold from being out there for a little more then five minutes... Hannibal was quiet as the two talked. Alfred having brought up calling her parents made her react rather strongly. Her tones were sharp and showed that she was not messing around and meant what she said. Alfred just simple nodded and kept driving, keeping to himself from that point on. Hannibal would have too if he was in Alfred's place. "It's alright. My mother would have freaked out if I ever came home being so badly injured." he spoke; his tones were soft as he looked over at her for a second. She was looking back at him.
He only said would have because she passed away, but she was a very protective mother and didn't want anything to hurt her son. She loved him dearly, not all the time of course because all parents and children fight at times, but more often then not she did. His father on the other hand wasn't all that great of a man...

There was a long awkward silence, before anyone said anything. It was Alfred Would like me to call and have Annie put a meal on for you and the young lad? Kate waited then asked Hannibal Would you like to go and eat? Annie is our best cook. Kate looked down at her watch it read 3:14 am. Kate looked back up toward Alfred. Yes, Alfred please. Kate looked at Hannibal and smiled. Alfred picked up a phone and pushed one button then said some words then laughed then hung up. Annie will start it right away. Kate nodded her thanks.
So what kind of things do you like? Kate had saw Hannibal’s bruised arms, she wanted to ask him what happened but Kate did not want to butt in on things. Just like Hannibal had not asked her who Jason was Kate would not asked him who or how that happened.
-sorry for the short post. I think that if hannibal gos to Kate's house that after you post we should end our post here and start back up at the Payne Mansion in the housing palce.-

-- didn't say anything important, so if you wanna start the thread at her house go ahead =] --
Hannibal's dark eyes looked out the window as the awkward silence filtered throughout the limo. It was such a thick silence that one could have cut through it with a knife. He looked over to the mirror where he could see part of Alfred’s face and his eyes as he looked up to look back at Kate. He asked if she wanted him to call Annie and have her put on a meal for her and the young lad. Haha hadn't been called young lad in some time. Sounded just like his grandfather. He didn't want to intrude on their dinner, but Kate asked him if he'd like to join them, and he simply nodded, and murmured a thank you as she told Alfred to go ahead and call her.
Hannibal's eyes fell to the floor as he pulled on his sleeves a bit. He pulled it over his frozen fingers and looked over at her as she asked him what he liked. "Umm, kind of a vague question, but if you mean food, then I'm not picky. I don't have the stomach for really spicy foods but anything else I like or am willing to try." he said, answering the question. He didn't know if it was about anything specific, so he stayed on the topic they were on before. She'd asked him if he wanted to eat at her house, with their finest chef, so he assumed it had been a food related question. If not, he would hope that she would redirect him so they could have a less confusing conversation.
Hannibal was usually the type of person that liked to keep his secrets, very secret from the world. He didn't like telling people his life story, and if they asked, he felt weird telling them, but would if they wanted to know. It was hard to explain why he was so paranoid about talking to people about that deeper level of himself, but if you get to know him, you can easily tell why. Hannibal is a very flaky person and holds people’s opinions pretty high. It's always been a very noticeable trait of his.

Kate smiled and blushed a little at him saying that her question was vague but she continued on Yeah I don’t like spicy foods either, I just never had the taste for it, but I absolutely love Irish foods. As Kate finished her sentence her eyes fell to his hands just as Hannibal had covered them up with his wet shirt. Hannibal, are you cold? Kate asked staring him square in the eye. Maybe he had already had gotten sick from being outside even for that short amount of time. Kate reached up and tapped Alfred on the shoulder and whispered something. With one hand on the wheel Alfred reached over the front passenger seat pulling on something then handed a dark blue blanket through the small window between them. Kate took the blanket and said her thanks. Kate seated herself back where she sat next to Hannibal offering him the blanket; it would be a good five to ten minutes before they got to Kate’s house.
Everything was once again noiseless. Kate watched Hannibal and thought that Hannibal probably already knew that no a middle class girl would have their own driver, limo, chefs or anything like that. Kate hoped that Hannibal would not judge her by what she had, although he did not seem like the type of person that would judge easily.
-Ok I’ll start the post in the Payne mansion at the house and hall-
