ooc: just to tell, it's complicated to type with a puppy, lol! I slept over at Kayla's w/ the pups.
Legacy let the soft tune work through her head, her eyes flashed once again, but she took no action. Ears pinned and neck stretched, she watched, a glare to her eye.

Ember smiled at the mare's foolishness but continued to sing. She went to the tack room and grabbed a flick of hay and a haldfull of alfalfa. Throwing it over the stall door she went back to her previous spot and sang again.

The mare's hooves pawed rythmaticly, scraping the straw dry. Her ears melted against her poll, wounded stature curling under her. She arched her neck in a threatening stance, the song had been tuned out..LEgacy bolted, she charged with as much power she could muster, shoulder crashing into Ember..

ooc:i hope you know that Ember is outside the stall.
Stop Ember said calmly. You have no right to do this to me.I have done nothing but give you a home and shelter. If it weren't for me you would probably be in a slaughter house right now.Keeping her calm, she thought of Wildfire and then of this mare. They were so much alike but Wildfire had been so much more beautiful and willing to learn but at the same time keeping up her guard. This mare was totally mindless.

ooc: OHHH!! O.O I thought she was just on the oppisite side of the stall.
Legacy slowed to an ambling trot, and circled her stall before a long, pained groan left her vocal cords and the gray fell to her knees in the stall, then falling to her side. Two bowed front tendons, cuts and scrapes everywhere, and a gash that decorated her chest, stained her body red.

Knowing the mare was reaching her weak point and that she needed to be treated she went to the tack room to get some supplies.

Legacy lifted her weakly, eyes dulled and fluttered shut, slow breaths rasped from her lungs, so quickley the mare had gone from charging her new owner to to the stage of almost dying. Her pulse lightened with each breath, blood splattered the stall and leaked from her nostrils, the Arab's eyes remained closed.

Quickly getting her medikit she ran to the mare's side. Giving her a light sedation for the pain she poured peroxide on the wound to clean it. It bubbled furiously as it cleaned all the bacteria that had gathered. Grabbing a piece of sterile wire she began to stitch up the giant gash. When the openess of it all was completely gone she got a fresh bucket of water and set it near the mare. Sitting down next to her she stroked her soft neck, she new the sedative wouldn't last long so she went to the house to get some blankets and a pillow. Ember returned, she layed the first blanket across the mare, the other she made a small pallet outside the stall. Ember knew that even when the sedative wore off she would be in to much pain to fight. So for right now she lay next to her, comforting her. It was going to be another one of those long nights.

Once the stiches had been put into place, her body went to work replacing lost blood cells. She groaned in pain, and barley acknowledged Ember's presence. Her eyes closed tight in a despret attempt to block out the pain.

Ember stayed by the mare through the night, giving the mare company and tried to comfort her by stroking her. Soon the morning came. The morning sun shone through the barn windows, revealing the mare's stitched chest.

The morning rays burned Legacy's eyes, every chirp of a bird made her flinch or jump. The mare gave a moan and forced herself to her knees, then ever so gingerly stood. Legs braced apart to support her weight. The gray twisted her neck to Ember...And nickered.

Ember smiled and went to get a scoop of feed. She came back and poured it in her feed trough.Ember also got a bucket of water and held it so the mare could drink.

Once the mare had drank her fill Ember brought the bucket back to the tack room. Coming back with a flick of fresh hay and alfalfa. She layed the dried grasses next to Legacy's feed bucket and let her eat in peace.
