The scream erupted from her vocals with such bounds of energy, that the cry travled for a matter of miles. The trailer rattled over the gravel road that led to the barns. Her hooves struck the metal trailer harshly, another cry of desperation escaping her vocal cords. The Arab was lathered in a thick sweat, her body drenched from white to a glowing, damp silver. Eyes rolled, and she was only hotter under the purple shipping blanket that buckled tightly around her barrel and chest. Who know's how long the mare had been tortured by the cloth that she had severly grown out of and the cloth was embeded deep within her skin.
The driver lunged from the car, obviously worried for the horse, she was no owner of Legacy, but only a person whom delievered animals. She jumped into the trailer without a moment's hesitation. Legacy stretched her neck around, ears flattening instantly in a threatening attempt to bite the girl. But despite the mare's fierce warnings, the young lady unbuckled the blanket and peeled it from the horse's smothered back. Legacy gave a squeal, of pain, or anger, no one will know. The young girl clipped a chain to the mare's halter, and the mare bolted for the opening, legs flashing, eyes rolling, head ducking, and forelegs pawing. She threw her wieght into the rope, plunging forward with unestimated power.
Legacy reared, her hind legs balanced her torso so easily, it was as if she was standing on a cloud. Forelegs pawed the air with a menacing, yet beautiful stance. Her dished head tossed, mane flying about her her neck as a gush of wind, as if on cue, bursted against her, only to make her seem even more beautiful. She landed with a resounding thud, snorting, her nostrils flared from effort, and her chest heaved up and down so quickley, that she made herself slow her breathing. The breaths slowed, but still came in shallow rasps as the young girl holding her looked for Legacy's new... And somewhat mental owner.

Hearing the commotion Ember dashed outside, still in her night wear. First she saw the truck and the trailer, wondering where her new horse was. Seeing something explode into the air, now new where her new monsterwas. If she was a monster she was a very beautiful one, looking past the foamy sweat she saw an animal that could be great. The fist thing that came to her eye was the magnificent monster rearing, but the she noticed the women that seemed so small against the massive beast. As the mare calmed Ember ran to the woman's side grabbing the rope with her for extra security. "Maybe we should take her to a bigger stall, because it looks like she has a lot of energy." Carefully leading the prancing mare through the barn she came upon a large stall. Having the other woman open the door, Ember carefully led her in.Shutting the door slightly behind her she unclipped the lead, then she rushed out shutting the door behind her.

Legacy eyed the girl that sulked towards her, then dashed once she had landed from her horrific rear. Her silky tail lashed her flank to rid any thirsty blood suckers from her bodice. Auds flicked forward for the slightest moment, then once again melted to her head, her neck snaked, teeth barred at the young women trying to lead her. Legs flashed under her, mane flying, forelock bouncing, and tail slashing. The girl pulled, she pulled back, the girl loosened, Legacy pulled back. A simple game now, as her ears stayed poised at her poll, but soon the game ended, and Legacy bolted forward, her body narrowly missing Ember, so close you could here the rasping breaths, feel her beating heart, feel her power. She tossed head, ears now pinned, she spun to face Ember, sliding to a halt. Heart beating faster and faster, the mare waited for any sort of challenge the human presented.

Ember watched the mare, watching her closely. Trying to find her meaning in life, was it to be wild and free? Or was it to destroy everything in her path? At the moment Ember couldn't tell. Seeing the flames in her eyes she reminded her of a horse she used to have, but she had been stolen by raiders. Looking at Legacy reminded her of WildFire. Determination suddenly burst from inside her, this mare wasn't going to live up to Wildfire but in Ember's mind she was going to come pretty damn close! Ember sat and stared at her deciding the methods she would use tame this beast.

The mares hooves hit the barn wall with such force the barn vibrated, and beams hummed. Her front torso rose once again in another sky scraping rear, her hoovespawing the air, as she came down, she landed with a thud and the sound of splintering wood burst from the stall. Her eyes glowed wildly, liquid burning with flare. The stall door now bore a dent and shattered wood edges, but the lock held tight. Legacy turned her attention to pacing, and didn't step until she had worn the shavkings on the outer edge of the stall down to the dirt underneath. Her head slung over the stall door, ears pinned, chest pressed as she lunged toward Ember. The wood splintered again, this time around the lock, as though she could break through the door no problem at all. Eyes flashing with anger, or she pure freedom, she backed away, then bolted, her chest collided with the stall again, the splintering wood became louder and she was ripping the lock from it's hinges.

Ember jumped back and watched as the mare burst from the stall. In her mind she knew that the mare couldn't break through the large metal doors, which they had closed just in case this happened. As she watched the mare frantically run around the barn searching for an escape it reminded her of how Wildfire had done the same thing. Ember gave a wild smile as she remembered all the great times they had had together. Ember began to sing the song that always had calmed Wildfire, hoping the same hypnotic technique would work on the horse too. She sang loudly enough for the mare to hear it but soft enough for her notes to spin in the mares elegant head. The mare turned toward her.... what would it do?

Legacy halted, swivling to face Ember as the tune floated toward her. Her head c.ocked to the left slightly, ears rising so little, it was almost unnoticable. Her eyes scanned the girl, making since of the words. Her teeth parted and a short whinny broke the tune, she bobbed her elegant head and tossed her mane, them the resounding clop of unshod hooves rang through the concret aisle. She halted barley three feet away from Ember, but made no move to touch the human.

Still singing her tune she slowly reached out to stoke the mares cheek. Softly hooking the lead to her halter, she led the mare to a pasture so the repares to her stall could be made, the whole time singing her song. Slowly walking down the aisle letting her take her time. As they neared the barn door she had the woman carefully open it, revealing a large pasture with rolling green hills.

Legacy shied slightly at human touch, but followed. The pasture seemed endless, it was nothing the same to her sandy wonderland at home in the Arabian Desert, but it would do for now. Legacy didn't mind that the human was still holding her when the pasture gate was held open, she bolted. Her legs churned faster forward, and faster still, despite the song Ember had tried to calm her with. Her neck flattened, along with her body, she ran for the pure joy of it.
When she had grown bored with her run, she slowed to a highstepping, floating trot, that same showy trot that most Arabs preformed in shows. Her mane bounced with each stride, keeping flow with her arched neck, tail billowed behind her. After a while, she slowed to a walk and made her way to bottom of the pasture where a patch of sand lay, with a grunt the mare fell to her side and rolled. When she had finished she appeared a tanish color, all except her white face that was not smeared with dirt. Legacy moved about the pasture for a few minutes, then stopped in the middle, lowering her head to grass of the undergrowth.

Ember smiled as she watched the wild arabian run free. She was puzzled at why the animal had ended up in her hands. Did she pester the local farmers? Was she caught for her beauty? That she would never find out. Remembering what she had brought the mare to the pasture for, she turned back to the barn. It was starting to get dark, luckily the had just recently put lights in the barn now was a perfect time to test them out. The barn was dark on the inside, fumbling for the light swtich she noticed that the girl had left.Ember gave a snort of disgust, She leaves just when I need help.. she mumbled to herself, adding on a few swear words. Finding the lever she flicked it up revealing the damage. The stall wall was badly splintered and the latch had been torn clean off. Giving a deep sigh, she went to the tack room for some tools. It was going to be a long night.

The mare seemed to watch with a smile as Ember went to work on fixing the stall. Her finely haired mane bounced as she bobbed her head with satisfaction. Her tail held high in a banner-like, proud manner, she watched.

BEEP! BEEP! The alarm clock buzzed in Ember's ear. Slowly she sat up knowing she had to feed Legacy. Her eyes were blurred from exhaustion, her usually shining red hair was dull. Sleepily she walked to the bathroom in her pink pajamas with elmo all over them, her fuzzy matching slippers drug across the floor. Before looking at herself she rubbed her face, trying to wake up a little bit more. She stared into the mirror, she saw a very tired person with bags under her eyes. I'm gonna take a shower. she drowsily annouced to herself.
Grabbing a towel from the bathroom closet she started the water, giving it a chance to warm up. When it was finally suitable to shower in, Ember stepped under the pouring water. It felt so good, so refreshing. After washing up she got out and dried herself with the towel. Throwing on a fresh pair of faded jeans and a t-shirt she went outside.
As she got nearer to the barn she heard Legacy's hungered calls.I'm coming! Ember smiled as she opened the barn door. Happily satified with herself she went to the once mingled stall. It's bottom was now sheeted with metal, she looked at Legacy who was trapped in this new contraption. Try breaking out of that! she said jokingly. Do you want some food? Ember said going to the tack room filling the scoop. She walked in the stall, pouring the feed letting the mare eat her fill. Once you finish I'll take you to the pasture to graze. she said patiently waiting for her to finish. Ember gave a shiver, her golden red hair lay wet on her back. She moved her position to where she was stading in the morning sun, hoping her hair would dry faster.

Legacy pinned her ears at Ember threateningly and struck the metal unmercifully. The grain was half gone before it hit the bucket as Legacy gulped the oats down in a instant, she nosed the empty bucket.

Ember got the lead and walked over to Legacy's stall, singing her tune not to soothe the mare, just because it was stuck in her head. Ember watched and waited for the mare to calm.

Legacy listened to the tune, slightly mezmorized, suddenly, her ears flattened head snaked forward, and teeth barred, narrowing in on Ember's skin, her hooves left the ground and her chest collided with the metal door, she danced backward, a bleeding gash oozing on her chest.
