She looked at him, then down at her feet. A fluffy brown cat was huddled around her feet. She smiled weakly, and picked up Dixie. The cat meowed with protest, but Sam just held her close. when Dixie finally wriggled free, Sam turned to Adam. She saw the honesty in his voice and leaned forward to brush a kiss across his lips. It was barely anything, but it symbolized her appology.
